During the first quarter of 2015, Bentley showed off a new concept vehicle, the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept. Beyond a name, a body type, and some glimpses of the interior, the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept is almost a complete mystery. Seeing as Bentley hasn’t even confirmed that the concept will ever be turned into a production model, that mystery is clearly by design. Despite that, we do have some information about the vehicle, and more importantly, we can say for a fact that the vehicle is a quite attractive specimen that will hopefully receive a full line based on this concept.
What Is and Isn’t Known
Just based on the frame and body design, it is quite obvious that the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept is a smaller and lighter vehicle than most other Bentleys. Additionally, the smooth, flowing body design, low ground clearance, large wheel wells, and room for only two passengers says louder than words that this car is designed to be a sports car. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no information available about the engine or transmission. Bentley has sworn that is will never again make a car with less than a V-8 engine, so it is possible the 10 in the name means this is a V-10 with a six speed transmission. But unless a Bentley engineer spills the beans, that is nothing more than an educated guess.
Looking Good for the Future
Honestly, the folks at Bentley would have to be insane not to make a production model of this beauty. It already looks absolutely amazing sitting still on a raised platform and it will certainly look ten times better racing down a highway or late at night through city streets. And, those glimpses of the interior already show a leather filled cockpit that looks like it will be as comfortable as it is elegant, the latter of which we are certain of purely based on the manufacturer.
