Ferrari LaFerrari

The oddly name Ferrari LaFerrari is an unusual car. It is an exotic sports car that is surprisingly not particularly attractive. Traditionally, most exotic sports cars look like somebody poured liquid mercury into the shape of a car. The Ferrari LaFerrari has a much more jagged appearance, that is most notable in the side view mirrors that literally look like that are glued on the ends of long sticks. It is a bit tacky, but this is because the entire design of the vehicle is built towards performance.

And when it comes to performance, there are few vehicles that compare. The Ferrari LaFerrari is one of the few production cars ever made that can go to double digits beyond 200 miles per hour and it has acceleration that is practically unmatched outside of cars specifically designed for race tracks. Additionally, the car is remarkably good at handling bumps on the road, with the added bonus of translating none of that turbulence to the steering wheel, helping you maintain good traction even in touch conditions.

Unexpected Features in an Exotic Sports Car

When talking about high performance vehicles, one rarely uses terms like hybrid engine or regenerating brake system. Yet, these features are not only built in to the Ferrari LaFerrari, but help improve the performance of this magnificent machine. The car still only offers 14 miles per gallon in the city and 20 on the highway, but for a car with these kind of performance specifications, that is actually quite solid fuel economy.

Another notable feature is that the instead of adjusting the seat to the pedals, you actually adjust the pedals to your feet after sitting in this vehicle. That is an unusual feature, but allows for more control when building the cockpit of this vehicle, which definitely shows through in the final performance. Overall, the Ferrari LaFerrari is clearly a car designed for high speed driving, but it is also street friendly enough that it doesn’t seem out of place if you choose to use it for day trips rather than driving around a race track.
