Alfa Romeo 4C

Alfa Romeo 4C

Everyone has different reasons for buying a car. One person may want a car that has unparalleled off-road performance while another person may want a vehicle that has both lots of space and excellent fuel efficiency. The Alfa Romeo 4C is one of those cars you buy for a very specific reason: in order to fully experience the joy of track driving.

To claim that the Alfa Romeo 4C has any other purpose to exist is somewhere between a major exaggeration and an outright lie. The car is unapologetic about its purpose and every single feature of the car is focused specifically towards that purpose. It is truly rare to find a car that is engineered with such intense dedication towards a single purpose.

In fact, this dedicated engineering is the reason the Alfa Romeo 4C wasn’t available in the United States until 2015. The designers at Alfa Romeo didn’t feel that features like adjustable seats or side airbags fit the overall design philosophy of the car, so they weren’t installed in the European models. But, since U.S. law requires these features in new cars, the engineers has to minorly re-design the cars to fit American safety laws. Now that the new designs are ready, the Alfa Romeo 4C will shortly be available and is unquestionably one of the best track driving cars that will be available in 2015.

Keeping in mind that this is a vehicle designed specifically for track driving, be warned that trunk space and leg room are not priorities in this vehicle. In fact, it is nearly true to claim the vehicle doesn’t have a trunk, rather just an oddly placed, slightly large glove compartment. Instead, the vehicle has features that add to performance.

A 237 horsepower, 16 valve engine and 6 speed automatic transmission power the Alfa Romeo 4C to 60 miles per hour in a solid 4.3 seconds. The vehicle tops out at an equally solid 158 miles per hour, a speed that you definitely won’t see off the track. Surprisingly, despite this performance, the car gets 34 miles per gallon on the highway and 24 miles per gallon in the city, primarily due to the incredibly light frame.

A similar list of impressive features does not exist for the interior of the vehicle. With the exception of leather seats, the interior of the car is pretty much stripped down. This makes it a terrible car for long trips, but that isn’t what it is designed for. Buy this car because you want to experience true track driving and you will have gotten one of the best deals in 2015.

Maybach Zeppelin

Maybach Zeppelin

Nearly a century ago, Maybach was the company that built engines for German zeppelins. Maybach honors that legacy by building a modern luxury vehicle named after the zeppelins of old. The Maybach Zeppelin is a luxury limousine, that is comparable to the best of its class, yet manages to disguise just enough that even the longest model doesn’t immediately look like a limousine at first glance. It is a smoothly curved sedan with sharp accents that looks more like a professional or executive vehicle than it does like an elite limousine.

But all of that disguise goes out the window once you step inside. The Maybach Zeppelin defines the word “comfort” with plush leather and suede seats and upholstery, window curtains and divider for privacy, enough legroom for a six foot tall person to fully stretch out, personal rear entertainment screens, rear zone climate control, and even custom silver champagne flutes that come with the car. And to top it all off, the Mayback Zeppelin offers an optional system that sprays a specific perfume or other scent of your choice into the car.

  • 632 Horsepower V12 Engine
  • 20 Inch Wheels
  • Lambskin Carpeting
  • Soft Leather Front and Rear Seats

A Limo in Disguise

There are times when you want to enjoy the comforts of a top end luxury limousine, but don’t want to advertise that you are riding in a limousine. For these times, the Maybach Zeppelin is the right car for you. While it looks exceptionally luxurious from the outside, even the extended cab version of the Maybach Zeppelin is hard to identify as a limousine. This is an ideal vehicle for transporting dignitaries subtly, but with style.

The only downside of this fantastic luxury vehicle is that it is nearly impossible to find. Maybach has limited the production to just 100 cars, which is pretty much in line with the demand for the vehicle. Like many of the top end vehicles in the world, it is definitely hard to find, and unsurprisingly expensive. Still, with the one-of-a-kind patented aroma dispersing system, it offers an experience that can quite literally be described as unique, and that is an impressive feat in the modern car world. Maserati Ghibli

Maserati Ghibli

Neptune would be proud to see this luxury car driving towards him. The front grill of the Maserati Ghibli sports a masterful rendition of his ancient trident and the slick, smooth, compact lines give it ever so slightly the appearance of a seaworthy vessel. While it can’t actually drive on water, it does offer a truly amazing ride on land. A powerful engines provides the sporty performance that you would expect from a car with the Maserati brand name: modest speed and outstanding handling. The Maserati Ghibli is a vehicle with next generation steering and suspension that can adapt to the road conditions, shift precisely, and grips the road like the wheels are made of glue.

The inside of the Maserati Ghibli is also extravagant enough to satisfy a Greek God. Soft leather seats and dashboard are exceptionally comfortable and also provide a perfect frame for the high tech, almost futuristic looking steering column and digital display. The mix of elegance and sportiness is just right, blending to create a vehicle that will appeal to both traditional car aficianodos and those who believe that modern technology is critical in modern luxury vehicles.

  • 330 Horspower V6 Twin Turbo Engine
  • Auto-Adaptive Transmission
  • 157 MPH Top Speed
  • Bower & Wilkins Premium Sound System
  • Soft Leather Seats
  • Seating for 5 Passengers (including Driver)

Surprisingly Roomy and Sporty

From just a glance, inside or outside, there is little doubt that the Maserati Ghibli is a luxury vehicle, but it also gives a real sporty vibe as well. From the smooth curve of the passenger cabin to the sports driving mode to the slightly beyond modern central panel, the Maserati Ghibli definitely wants to drive hard. A blending of luxury and sportiness isn’t uncommon in modern vehicles, but few are also roomy enough for a five passengers and all of their belongings. Despite a diminutive figure, the Ghibli somehow manages to provide seating for five with solid leg room and a large trunk space. This is a rare mix that more than makes the car worth its high asking price. The versatility of this vehicle means that you can legitimately use it for just about any purpose, which, in itself, is probably the greatest luxury that this vehicle offers. Tesla News

Tesla – Electric Future

The Electric Revolution

Imagine driving from Los Angelos to San Francisco on a single charge of an electric car. Tesla can imagine this, and not as some far future dream, but rather as something that the newest Tesla Roadster should be able to do today, or at the latest, within a year or two.

The one major downside of electric cars, compared to traditional gasoline powered vehicles, is that they don’t have very good ranges. A traditional vehicle can drive somewhere from 300 to 500 miles on a single tank of gas. Most electric cars average at about 20% – 25% of that value on a single battery charge. That simply isn’t a far enough range to make most drivers comfortable. But Tesla, the clear industry leader in electric cars, is constantly pushing the envelope in battery design, and its newest design, it its newest car, offers roughly 400 miles on a full charge.

Given how many traditional vehicle can’t reach that 400 mile threshold on a single tank of gas, that is a more than competitive value for range. And, according to Tesla, that value isn’t seen as the limit of the technology, but rather as a stepping stone to even further improvements in battery efficiency.

The Car of the Future is Plug and Play

Even more amazing than the fact that the new Tesla Roadster can potentially outperform traditional gasoline powered vehicles in terms of range is the fact that someday soon the old Tesla Roadster may be able to do the same thing. Unlike cars with traditional internal combustion engines, a battery pack is something that can be removed and replaced in a vehicle with relative ease. Thus, the true value of a Tesla may very soon be not just that it protects the environment, but that it can effectively be replaced without having to purchase a brand new car.

In the current environment where car prices are already so high that leasing is more common than outright ownership for most cars, the potential to never have to buy a new car again is
something that could rewrite the rules of the industry. Tesla hasn’t made any claims about replaceable battery packs yet, but the writing appears to be on the wall. And if this should come to pass, making car “engines” effectively plug and play is likely to have as big an impact on the car industry as similar technology did on the computer industry.

Porsche Macan S

Porsche Macan S

What exactly is the Porsche Macan S. From a bird’s eye view, might you guess that it was a station wagon designed for midgets, or maybe a SUV with half of its roof cut off, or possibly a sedan where the designers forgot to build the last two feet of the car. Even looking at the specifications of the vehicle, it is rather difficult to decide exactly what the Porsche Macan S is supposed to be. Most likely it is a crossover, but it has such a low roof and such oddly sporty finishing touches, it certainly doesn’t visually look like one.

But a Porsche doesn’t have to look like a Porsche to perform like one. And, like almost every Porsche before it, the Porsche Macan S has incredibly tight controls and amazing road grip. It is a little slow off the starting block, but it reaches a respectable top speed that more than competes with any car in its class, whatever that class actually is. And it truly shines once you step inside. It lives up to the company name with a plethora of safety, communication, climate control, and entertainment systems that are all top class. The only place where this vehicle doesn’t quite live up is the limited leg room available to the rear passengers, which is surprising given that it has a quite respectable luggage area.

  • 7 Speed PDK Transmission
  • Porsche Traction Management
  • Electromechanical Steering System
  • Porsche Dynamic Light System
  • Surround Sound
  • Porsche Communication Management with Built in Touch Screen
  • Two Zone Automatic Climate Control
  • Lane Change Assist System
  • 17.7 Cubic Feet of Storage Space

A Little Bit of a Mystery

If not for the questionable leg room in the rear seats, the Porsche Macan S would be an ideal car for a family of up to five. But that limited leg room means it isn’t great for long drives with older kids. It should be fine for shorter drives like daily errands or quick day trips, especially with an adaptable storage area that can use part of the back seat. If that isn’t what you intend to use it for, you could arguably bring it on the race track. You might get teased a bit, but since it has nearly race track handling, you actually wouldn’t look too foolish. Visit Exotic Car Rentals in Clearwater, FL for more information

Lotus Elise S Cup

Lotus Elise S Cup

From the aerodynamic rear spoiler to the standard color selection (yellow, white, orange, blue, and red), the Lotus Elise S Cup looks like it is designed only for track use. But looks are deceiving on this vehicle. It has respectable performance statistics, but is far from the top end of the pack among race track vehicles. In fact, it is specifically designed to give up a little performance in order to have truly exceptional gas mileage. Showy body aside, this is as much a vehicle for every day use as it is a racing vehicle, and arguably focused more towards every day use than racing.

Of course, that assumes that your daily usage of your vehicle doesn’t require more than two seats or any meaningful amount of storage space. It may not win records in acceleration or top speed, but it is still designed to hold its own, which means it sacrifices a lot of interior space. In fact, it is pretty much as stripped down a vehicle as you can find. Even air conditioning is an extra feature in the Lotus Elise S Cup. Just about the only comfort features that aren’t absolutely required are a heater and electric windows.

  • 1.8 Liter 16 Valve Engine
  • 6 Speed Manual Transmission
  • 37.5 Mile Per Gallon Fuel Efficiency
  • ABS
  • Driver and Passenger Airbag

Fuel Efficient Racing Car

The Lotus Elise S Cup is a bit of an enigma. It is so stripped down that it can’t even play music, which makes it a rather poor choice for long drives. At the same time, it offers a fuel efficiency of 47.6 miles per gallon for highway driving and 27.3 miles per gallon for city driving. Those numbers are exceptional for any car, let alone a race car. If anything, it is probably the best date car ever designed, assuming you and your date are close enough that you can fill all of the driving time with light chatter. If not, it is a solid track car and you’ll rarely need to change the gas. Though, you should probably invest in an iPod because those long music free hours could get tiresome after a while. BMW 2-Series Active Tourer

BMW 2 Series Active Tourer

It is quite possible that there doesn’t exist another crossover model that has as impressive a devotion to storage capacity as the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer. While the Tourer admittedly looks a lot like a miniaturized SUV, once you open it up, it doesn’t actually appear to have particularly more storage space than an average sedan. This seeming lack of storage space is basically an illusion. BMW has hidden tons of storage space in the Tourer, that is available when needed and otherwise is used for other functions. The most notable example of this is the fact that the front seat folds down completely, as do both back seats, and the center strip between them.

While storage space may be truly impressive in the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer, it is far from only luxury that this vehicle sports. It is also a prime example of modern luxury, featuring the standard luxury sedan electronics package found in nearly every single modern BMW. This package includes navigation, safety features, and driving assistance technology. It may be the “standard” package in a BMW, but since BMW goes above and beyond when it comes to technology packages in vehicles, that means you are looking at some of the best technology you can find in any car today.

The Ideal Family Vehicle

The BMW 2-Series Active Tourer seems like it is specifically designed with a modern family in mind. Digital communication and audio systems provide hands free calling and family appropriate entertainment. Additionally, the vehicle is the perfect size to transport a family of four. More importantly, though, the way it easily adds storage space, including in vertical length, makes it easy to transport objects like bicycles or sports equipment, which is ideal for a family that includes teenagers. The only drawback of this vehicle as a family car is that it is a tad homely. But, since most family vehicles are a tad homely, this isn’t so bad. And unlike most homely family vehicles, at least this one isn’t ungainly as well. For more information, visit Exotic Car Rentals Atlanta Georgia.

Bugatti Veyron Jean Bugatti

Bugatti Veyron Jean Bugatti

The Bugatti Veyron Jean Bugatti is part of the Legends series of Bugattis. This means that it is a vehicle designed based on the inspiration of a single person and that only three of this model will ever be produced. As you might expect for a vehicle with such a limited production line, the cost is quite prohibitive. The Bugatti Veyron Jean Bugatti comes in a little bit north of $2.5 million. The obvious question is whether it is worth that high a price tag.

The answer is: unquestionably. Inspired by the legendary car designer Jean Bugatti, this vehicle borrow ideas from the equally legendary Bugatti 57SC Atlantic designed by the man. The result is a jet black, carbon fibre framed small body convertible. The only break from the unending glossy black body are the striking metallic accents on the grill, wheels, and rear of the car. Amazingly, the front horseshoe grill is made of pure platinum.

Moving inside the vehicle, dark and light chocolate colored leather covers the entire interior. Hand stitching accentuates the fine leather interior. The colors are a little bit of a mismatch for the glossy black body, but the overall look is elegant and truly fits the friendly style you would expect in a convertible roadster.

  • 1184 Horsepower 16.4 Liter W-16 Engine
  • 2.4 Second Sprint Time
  • 267 Mile Per Hour Top Speed
  • Automatic Hard Top Convertible

Rare Jet Black Beauty

Like the horse Black Beauty, the Bugatti Veyron Jean Bugatti is more than just a mode of transportation. It is a powerful beast that reflects the sunlight back towards the heavens and lets the rider gallop through summer days with the wind in his or her hair. It is a truly legendary vehicle deserving of its name and of its pedigree. If, by some miracle, you ever get a chance to enjoy this incredibly rare driving machine, find a private track and take advantage of its nearly record setting top speed. You simply won’t find another convertible in production today that offers as fast acceleration or top speed. This is truly a world class vehicle and driving one, even briefly is an experience you would remember for the rest of your life. For more information, visit Exotic Car Rentals Atlanta Georgia.

Car Features
Bugatti Veyron Sport Vitesse “La Finale”

Bugatti Veyron Sport Vitesse “La Finale”

The Bugatti Veyron Sport Vitesse “La Finale” is truly a unique car in the literal sense of the word. This is a car that you will never get to own or rent or likely even see, except in pictures on the internet. The reason for this is that the Bugatti Veyron Sport Vitesse “La Finale” is a single vehicle that has already been sold by Bugatti. Not only will this vehicle never be duplicated, but this car also represents the last ever Bugatti Veyron that will ever be produced. While you may not ever be able to drive this beauty, you can appreciate craftsmanship of it.

The burgundy and black exterior of “La Finale” has a very futuristic curved design, almost similar to the self driving cars in the Will Smith movie “I, Robot.” Just to highlight the fact that this is the final Veyron, the words “La Finale” are written in a stylish script in bright red letters under the left front headlight. The interior color scheme is maroon and beige, a nice compliment to the darker exterior. Silk leather upholstery covers much of the vehicle, including the seats, offering a truly comfortable ride, though admittedly making the vehicle difficult to clean. That is a problem that the owner has to deal with, though. The most impressive visual feature, though is the tinted sunroof which looks almost completely opaque from the outside while being almost completely transparent from the interior.

  • 1183 Horsepower 8.0 Liter W-16 Engine
  • 2.5 Second Sprint Time
  • 253 Mile Per Hour Top Speed

One of a Kind Luxury

Exactly what the owner of the Bugatti Veyron Sport Vitesse “La Finale” plans to do with this car is unknown, but it is pretty easy to guess based on the specifications of the vehicle. It has a small cockpit that only fits up to two passengers with limited leg room. This is not a car for long drives. Instead, with a nearly world record top speed, this is a car for racing. “La Finale” will probably spend most of its life either on private race tracks or well cared for in a garage, likely with windows to show off the splendor of this beautiful machine. Audi Q7

Audi Q7

What is in a name? In the Audi Q7, the name describes the number of passengers this vehicle can comfortably hold. If that sounds like a lot to you, then there is a good chance you don’t need this vehicle. But if you do regularly need to transport six or seven passengers, including yourself, the Audi Q7 is an ideal SUV for your purposes.

As an added bonus, the Audi Q7 is actually rather compact. Despite the capacity for seven passengers, it has a body that is roughly the size of a standard five passenger SUV. Combine that with gently sloped windshields and you have a vehicle that looks like a mid-sized SUV, at best, from the exterior, while looking like a full-sized SUV on the inside. It is quite a dramatic difference and truly shows off the quality of the Audi Q7.

And, as you would expect from a luxury SUV, the Audi Q7 is a car designed to be quite comfortable for the driver. It sports a keyless start-stop system, powerful LED headlights, heated front seats, and a built-in navigation system. This is unquestionably a machine designed to transport lots of people over long distances in a stylish and comfortable manner.

Perfect for Long Family Drives

If you’ve got an oversized family or you are taking a drive with some of the extended family, you pretty much won’t find a better vehicle than the Audi Q7 for your trip. The three rows offer excellent passenger space for every member of the family, from largest to smallest, and comfortably designed leather seats and a high quality entertainment system make the ride a generally pleasant experience. The real advantage, though, is that the car is designed to make driving as hassle free as possible. Navigation with local traffic and weather eases the drive, even if you are visiting a location you have never been to before and the heated, adjustable front seats will add hours to the time you can drive before needing to hit a rest stop. That is a benefit you will be thankful for after hours of driving. For more information, visit Exotic Car Rentals in Augusta, GA.
